What exactly is EDI ?
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is the automated exchange of business documents between companies. Instead of orders and invoices being handled manually – printed, sent as PDFs by email and punched in again at the recipient – the documents go directly between systems, in structured formats.
The result is lower costs (less paperwork and manual data processing), shorter processing times (transactions are processed in real time), better data quality (human errors are eliminated), and stronger partner collaboration through standardized, reliable communication.
For companies in trade and logistics, EDI is in practice a prerequisite for trading with large chains, wholesalers and the public sector - and with iSYS HUB you do not need your own EDI expertise or a separate setup per partner.
