Release Notes v1.27

A brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.27. In addition, a number of smaller functional improvements, optimizations, bug fixes and security updates have been made.

Goods receipt

Lookup of product lines based on OCR

When receiving goods, the app can now read text on packages or packaging via the camera to find the correct item line on an order. This can be a good aid when the goods are not marked with barcodes. Texts that are recognized are InStock's item number and values registered as barcodes on an item. It is also planned to be possible to register the supplier's item number per supplier as a barcode on the product. OCR will only attempt to match texts related to the items on the order.

Easier printing of product labels

If you normally print product labels upon receipt, this can now be printed automatically. This can be configured ¹⁾ by clicking or long-clicking on the registration button. It can also be configured whether to print one label per registration, or one per item received.

Proposal for reception location

The app could previously be configured so that the last pickup location per pickup was remembered. If multiple people are picking up the same order at the same time, it is now also possible to configure ¹⁾ this so that the location is remembered per pickup and user.

Pick and ship

Authorized pickers

Sometimes you don't want just anyone to be able to pick all orders. Some orders may require special expertise. This can now be configured so that per order category one or more users can be defined who will be allowed to pick such orders. If one or more authorized pickers are specified, orders and pick lists in such categories will only be visible to these users. They will be hidden from other users.

Prioritization of old orders

When using "best match" to pick orders most efficiently, you run the risk of some orders being left behind when there are large order volumes. If there are always other orders that match better, some orders can remain for a long time without being picked. To avoid this, it is now possible to configure ¹⁾ the algorithm behind "best match" so that orders that are older than X number of days are prioritized first.

Info fields in pick lists

Fields Info1 to Info10 can now be displayed as columns in Picklists in the portal

Change delivery information in the app

Under "View delivery information" on a shipment, you can now change the address, phone number, and email.

Contents of underlying package

When you view or print the contents of a package, the contents of underlying packages are now also included.

Census

Counting lists per zone

Functionality has been introduced where you can now quickly and easily create separate counting lists per zone.

Filter by location type

When adding locations to a counting list, you can now filter by type so that, for example, only picking locations or buffer locations are included.

Various

Suggestions while typing item number

In the functions Order, Pick List and Correction in the portal, you will now see suggested item numbers as you type in the field. InStock searches for the text in the item number or name. The first 20 matches are displayed in the list. Similar functionality is also planned for item numbers in list overviews. This will come in a later version.

Your settings in the portal follow you

Settings you make in the portal, such as which columns are displayed and their order, are now saved to your user. Previously, they were stored as cookies in the browser. Now you get the same settings on all PCs and browsers you log in to, and they don't disappear when someone clears their browser.

Report "Items without picking"

The report has a new column with picking locations where the item has inventory.

Footnotes:
1) Contact iSYS for configuration.
2) Not all integrations with all ERP solutions necessarily support this automatically. The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
