Release Notes v1.18

Brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.18.

Goods receipt in another unit 1,2)

If an order line in ERP is registered as purchased in a different unit than the stocked unit, the receipt in this unit can also be made in InStock. For example, if an item is stocked in liters, but is purchased in pails. ERP must then return both the quantity and unit in both the stocked and ordered unit. The user sees and receives in the ordered unit, while the inventory is updated with the correct stocked quantity.

Inventory transactions can also show quantity in units received.

Expansions around inventory correction 1,2)

When withdrawing (consuming) goods via Correction, it is now possible to specify a cost center, department, etc. for charging the cost.

In addition, a couple of new settings have been introduced. It is possible to define a default reason code that is suggested. It is also possible to change the default direction of the correction, to default to down-adjust the inventory (withdrawal), not up-adjust it.

Printing multiple pallet labels

When printing pallet labels, you can now choose to print labels for multiple pallets at once. If you receive 500 kg (e.g. 5 pallets of 100 kg), you can now enter the number of pallets, and get the number received divided by the number of pallets.

Similarly when printing existing inventory. If there are 500 at a location, you can now print, for example, 5 labels of 100 kg.

QR codes with GS1 Digital Link

InStock now supports scanning of QR codes according to “GS1 Digital Link”. As well as printing such QR codes on pallet labels. This is a standard that is expected to eventually take over for EAN codes on consumer packaging. See https://gs1.no/digital-link/ for more information.

Footnotes:

1) Contact iSYS for configuration.

2) The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
