Release Notes v1.16
A brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.16. There are also many smaller changes, adjustments and fixes.
Goods receipt - Reserved quantity
InStock can now be configured to display the quantity sold of an item upon receipt of goods. This allows you to, for example, place these items easily accessible for picking, instead of putting everything out on the shelves in the warehouse.
The field shows the total quantity remaining for the item from all sales order lines known to InStock.
The field is made visible by changing the ReceiveReservedQtyVisible setting.
In the next version, it is planned that this field will also allow you to see information about which order lines this applies to, and whether they are already being picked.
Goods receipt - Label printing
InStock could previously be configured to automatically print a label when registering a goods receipt. The disadvantage was that in that case such a label was ALWAYS printed.
A more flexible solution has now been introduced. By long-clicking on the registration button, such a label can now be printed at the same time. By simply pressing the button, only registration is performed as today.
If you usually want to print a label, but no printing is the exception, you can reverse the logic. So that printing occurs with a normal click, but a long click only performs registration (without printing).
See the ReceiveActionClick and ReceiveActionLongClick settings.
By long-clicking on a registered transaction, you can also print a label. For example, if a label disappears or was forgotten during registration.
In the printer setup per label function, this label has changed its name from “Goods Receipt” to “Pallet Label”. This is because the label is typically used to mark a pallet with item number, batch, quantity, etc.
Pallet label printing
The label printed upon receipt of goods can also be printed for an inventory at a later date, but without order-specific information.
In View inventory, you can now print a label for an inventory by long-clicking on the line.
In the menu, you can select “Print pallet labels…” to print labels for all inventory in the list.
PS: Labels are not printed for stocks with 0 or negative quantities.
Goods receipt - Remember values from previous receipt check
During the receiving inspection, it is now possible to mark individual control points so that the value from the previous inspection is displayed. The specified value can then be easily continued or changed.
Check “Show previous value” on the checkpoint in the portal.
During receipt inspection, the solution will therefore suggest the same value that was entered during the previous receipt inspection of the same item.
Move an order away from a picking list and onto a new one
In addition to removing an order from a picking list, it is now also possible to move it to a new picking list. In contrast to removing, you can move an order where picking has been performed. Performed picking transactions - and any associated packages - are moved to a completely new picking list.
Collimative per shipping product
It is now possible to link a package template to a shipping product. When creating a package, default values from the template will be entered into the package. This can be used for example to
to specify a dummy weight for carriers who always require weight (even if weight is not critical)
to automatically enter dimensions for full or half pallets into packages.
Configurable columns in the Transaction Overview
The Transactions function has also introduced the menu option “Select table layout” with the option to choose which columns to display, the order and width.
The following new columns have also been introduced: Id, Item name, Line number, Counted quantity, Unit, User ID, Reason code, Reason, Tracking number and Text. In addition, the time is displayed directly in the list together with the date (previously you had to “mouse-over” the date to see the time).
Shortcuts from Picklist
In the portal, you can now easily navigate to View inventory and View transactions from a pick line.
Cranberries for failed transfers to ERP
In v1.14, “cranberries” were introduced in the app to show the number of failed transfers to ERP. This has now also been introduced in the portal.
Goods/packages can be sent to ERP
In the integrations with ERP, it is now possible for InStock to send information about which items have been picked in which packages during picking.
If this is relevant information to include back into ERP, contact iSYS to assess the possibilities for this against your ERP system.
