Release Notes v1.20

Brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.20.

Direct pick 2)

In some cases, you do not have an order in advance, but for example, you need to pick goods for a customer who is physically present. InStock now supports this by allowing you to create an empty pick list, select a customer and pick goods directly. When notified of completion, the order will be created and picked in ERP.

Smart order selection for multiple order picking 1)

When creating pick lists with multiple orders, InStock can now suggest the “best” orders to pick together, not just the next ones in the list. InStock will look at other orders and include the orders that best match the same items as the selected order. This allows you to pick multiple orders more efficiently by picking orders that contain the same items.

User can be “forced” to pick the next order 1)

Some users are selective in their choice of orders. For example, if they find a large or heavy order they do not want to pick, they can choose another one. To avoid this to a greater extent, it is possible to set up a user so that he cannot select orders in the list himself, but can only press the Plus button and be assigned the next order(s) automatically.

Various improvements around Shipments

  • New feature in the portal for viewing shipments.

  • Possibility to print content labels from the app.

  • Also shipments where all picking lists - except for any pure shortage picking list (zone *) are marked as green (ready for shipment)

  • By default, shipments with only a short-list are no longer displayed. These cannot be reported as completed in any case. These can be displayed via the menu option “Show remaining shipments”.

Importing inventory adjustments

In the Import function in the portal, you can now import a file with inventory corrections. Access is controlled via your own resource on a role.

Settings per warehouse

Settings can now be overridden per warehouse in addition to user. If the same setting is specified for both user and warehouse, the user's setting takes precedence.

Viewing orders in the portal

New feature in the portal for viewing orders.

Printing return labels

InStock now supports printing a return label along with a normal shipping label. On the shipping product, you specify which is a return shipping product. When printing a shipping label, labels are printed for both.

Combination of batch and date

Some customers have computer-controlled items where they also want tracking on batch. This is now possible by combining both “Stock dimension” and “Tracking by picking” on the same item.

Opened for correction of inventory with dimension that does not exist

Previously, it was not possible to perform an inventory correction of a date- or batch-controlled item where the date or batch did not exist. This limitation has now been removed so that you can correct an inventory that does not already exist (without counting it in first).

AutoStore 1)

Various changes to integration with AutoStore

  • It is now possible to have multiple AutoStore machines on the same installation. Typically one AutoStore per warehouse.

  • Expanded ability to prioritize orders.

  • Different printers can now be configured for the different labels printed in connection with the integration (package label, shipping label or content label)

Footnotes:

1) Contact iSYS for configuration.

2) Not all integrations with all ERP solutions necessarily support this automatically. The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
