Release Notes v1.22
Brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.22.
Counting list for goods
It is now possible to create a counting list based on items, not just locations. New type of counting list where you specify whether it applies to locations or items. Items can be added to the counting list based on item number (separated by comma or line break), style or item group. Counting is done in the same way as before, only that now it is items that are counted and confirmed, not locations.
A4 packing slip 1)
InStock can now generate an internal PDF packing slip. The layout and information on the packing slip can be customized to your needs, including your logo.
The packing slip can be printed on a printer, or only available for electronic access. See the next point.
Viewing the packing slip 1)
InStock can produce PDF packing slips from ERP or internally generated. In both cases, the link to the packing slip can be presented as a QR code on labels and internally generated packing slips. Including shipping labels produced by nShift Delivery or InStock TMS. The recipient can then scan the QR code and view or download the packing slip electronically.
Shipping groups 2)
If you have many shipping products, these can now be grouped into different shipping groups. Based on information on the order header from ERP, InStock can now present only shipping products within a specified group. This allows the user to choose from fewer and more relevant shipping products. A shipping product can belong to multiple groups.
Dynamic order categories
Order categories are determined in the integration from ERP, and are used to categorize orders and picking lists. In addition, you can register the categories in InStock if you want slightly different behavior for certain categories.
Some InStock installations use many different order categories. These can be combinations of route, delivery method, delivery day/week or other. This can result in many combinations that it is inappropriate to register as separate categories in InStock when different behavior is desired.
To solve this, we have introduced the ability to group many order categories from ERP into one category in InStock. This allows you to define rules for one category that will apply to many.
Merging unallocated picking lists
When merging unallocated pick lists, InStock can now merge multiple pick lists automatically. This is based on the "Shipments per pick list" specified on Warehouse or Category. By long-clicking on the check mark, you will be able to override the quantity.
Configurable 3rd text line on pick lines 1)
Per picking list line it is now possible to display a 3rd text line with extra information that is not otherwise available in this image. This can be information that makes it easier for pickers to make decisions in the picking process. This can be, for example, extra text information, weight, length/width/height etc. The text line can be highlighted with a different font size, bold font and/or color.
Automatic weight reading during picking 1)
Extended support for reading weight via electronic scales. Now weight can also be read during picking. Scan the QR code for the scale, and the read weight is suggested as the number picked.
Use of shipments (compilation)
If you want to handle the completion of picking and shipping of goods/packages as two different processes, you use shipments in InStock. Also called compilation. This was previously a parameter that was set for the entire InStock installation as a whole. This can now be separated based on warehouse and/or order category.
Handling of open packages upon completion of picking list
When reporting a picking list, you now have greater freedom to define the desired handling of open packages. InStock can be configured to the following:
Show error message: User receives an error message on screen and must close the package before the picking list can be closed.
Auto Close: Automatically close open packages
Print automatically: Print shipping label automatically (and close package)
Leave open: If you use shipments (compilation), you can choose to leave the package open until the shipment is closed.
Ask user: User can choose to cancel, close, print or leave open.
Desired handling set up per warehouse. Handling can be overridden per order category.
Handling of open packages upon notification of shipment completion
When reporting a shipment as complete, you now have greater freedom to define the desired handling of open packages. InStock can be configured to the following:
Show error message: User receives an error message on screen and must close the package before the shipment can be closed.
Auto Close: Automatically close open packages
Print automatically: Print shipping label automatically (and close package)
Ask user: User can choose to cancel, close or print.
The desired handling is set up per warehouse. Handling can be overridden per order category.

Comment has been introduced as a column that can be displayed in the list view.
Package area can block completion notification
When using package locations, you can now mark a location as “blocked for delivery”. This means that if there are packages at this location, the shipment will not be reported as complete. This ensures that items that, for example, need to be post-processed (e.g. assembled, labeled, etc.) are not shipped until the items have been moved to another location.
Selection of cargo type on package
A list of different cargo types can now be defined on a freight product. This allows a user to choose the cargo type themselves instead of creating a freight product per cargo type.
New standard reports
New report for items that have not been picked since a given date (shelf warmers).
New report that provides an overview of date-controlled goods that are approaching their expiration date.
Footnotes:
1) Contact iSYS for configuration.
2) Not all integrations with all ERP solutions necessarily support this automatically. The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
