Release Notes v1.23
Brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.23.
Limit different items per location
It is now possible to block locations so that they can only have inventory for one item. On Warehouse, Zone and Location it is possible to set this up via the field “Limit number of items”. This can have the values:
No : No limitation
Only one item : A location can only contain one item (one item number). It can contain the same item with different batches (LOT, date).
Only one batch : Location can only contain one batch for an item.
If a restriction has been set, an error message will be given if you try to create new inventory at a location of a different item/batch.
Correction from the portal
InStock has had the principle that inventory movements should be created via the app, not the portal. This is because inventory movements should be created “on the floor” where the final result is. At the request of many customers, it has now been opened to be able to perform corrections via the portal. New function must be assigned to relevant roles.
Responsible per order category
A responsible user can be associated with an order category. This allows picking lists to be assigned to a user by default based on the order's category.
Internal comment on picking lists
An internal comment can be added to a picking list that is visible to other pickers on the picking list. It is registered in the app via “Edit comment” in the menu. If the picking list contains a comment from ERP, the internal text is placed first.
Filter a picking list on orders
When picking from a pick list with many orders, it may be desirable to see if there are more pick lines remaining for a customer. Long-click on the pick line and select “Filter on order”. The list then only shows pick lines for this order. Press (x) to remove the filter and show all pick lines.
Packing slips in the portal
For those who generate and print packing slips (PDF) via InStock, it is now possible to get an overview of these via a new function in the portal. The new function must be assigned to the relevant roles.
Return address on shipping products
On a shipping product, it is now possible to enter a specific return address that will be printed on the shipping label. If none is specified, the warehouse address will still be used as the return address.
Configurable 3rd line of text on order lines at receipt 1)
Per order line, it is now possible to display a 3rd text line with extra information that is not otherwise available in this image. This can be information that makes it easier for the recipient to make assessments during receipt. This can be, for example, extra text information from ERP integration, information from the product such as weight, etc. The text line can be highlighted with a different font size, bold font and/or color.
Filling boxes in AutoStore 1)
When receiving goods and moving goods to AutoStore, eManager has always suggested an empty box. InStock can now ask eManager to present a box with the same item. This makes it possible to save on the use of boxes in AutoStore.
Limit dimensions per customer when creating an order 1) 2)
When creating a new sales order or new empty picking list, a customer is selected. If the use of dimensions (e.g. project) is enabled, valid selections can now be defined per customer. This saves the user from having to scroll through a long list, and ensures that only valid values for the selected customer can be selected.
Minimum inventory update
The Location feature in the app now supports updating minimum inventory.
Miscellaneous changes
Inventory transactions of type Pick are now updated with customer name and number in the transaction text.
Warehouse transactions of type Receipt are now updated with the vendor name and number in the transaction text.
QR command to remove a new package can now also trigger printing of the package label, content label and/or shipping label at the same time.
Footnotes:
1) Contact iSYS for configuration.
2) Not all integrations with all ERP solutions necessarily support this automatically. The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
