Release Notes v1.25
Brief overview of the most important and largest visible changes in v1.25.
Norwegian goods in transit (NVIT) 1)
Support has been introduced for sending NVIT data to the following TMS solutions:
nShift (Consignor)
Logistra
MyBring
Axia
The implementation of NVIT requires that InStock has sufficient basic data available on product/order lines. This requires changes/mapping of new fields from ERP to InStock. Data that must be in place to handle NVIT is:
Description of the item
HS code
Weight
Quantity (already available in InStock)
Unit (already available in InStock)
Country of origin (recommended available)
It is the customer's responsibility to have correct and sufficient data available on product/order lines for NVIT data to be sufficient for the carrier. Please contact iSYS to establish the necessary mapping, or if you have any questions.
Established integration with PostNord 1)
Integration has been implemented directly with PostNord in connection with printing shipping labels. Shipping agreements can therefore be entered into directly with PostNord, without going through a 3rd party TMS solution.
Goods receipt without pre-registered order 1) 2)
It is now possible to perform goods receipt without a pre-registered order in ERP.
By activating the function, you can press the plus “+” to create a manual receipt. Start by searching for a supplier, or scan the item/EAN to find the item's supplier. Enter the order number and, if applicable, the supplier's order number and packing slip number/reference. Scan the items being received, and enter the number received. The goods receipt is displayed as an ongoing receipt as usual, and several people can register receipts on the same manual receipt. Receipts are reported as completed as normal, and orders can be created in ERP if necessary.
Complete order
An order that no more is to be received can now be easily closed (closed) from InStock. The option is activated via the ReceiveEnableCloseOrder setting. Both the app and portal will now display the option for “Close order”. The order is closed by automatically receiving 0 on all remaining lines so that they are closed. The information is sent to ERP for processing as if all lines were closed manually.
Postponed goods receipt to ERP
New functionality that makes it possible to postpone the transfer of receipts to ERP. Activated by specifying the field “Postponed update of ERP” on the location. When reporting the completion of goods receipt, inventory will be updated in InStock, while the transfer to ERP will not occur until the goods are moved to a location without this field set. This can be used when, for example, you do not want the receipt and inventory to be available in ERP until goods have been moved to Autostore or have undergone a quality control.
Transfer of data for receiving inspection to ERP 2)
When there is a need to collect more information when receiving goods, receiving control is used. In addition to storing this in InStock, the information is now also sent for integration with ERP. Relevant information in ERP can thus be updated simultaneously.
View zones with inventory upon goods receipt
When receiving goods, it is now possible to display a new field with information about which zones an item is located in. This makes it easy to sort items if they are to be sent to different zones and/or elevators. See the ReceiveZonesWithBalance setting.
Update receipt text in app
In addition to entering receipt text for an order in the portal, it is now also possible to maintain it in the app.
Time of arrival registration in order overview
The overview of orders in the portal now also allows you to display the time when an order was registered as having arrived.
Carton picking 1)
InStock can now be configured so that picking lists suggest picking entire packages from one location, while remaining quantities (lower than package size) can be picked from another location.
This may be relevant, for example, when using AutoStore, where full cartons are placed in manual storage, while picking of lower quantities is desired from AutoStore. This is to avoid filling AutoStore with cartons that can be picked just as efficiently from manual storage.
Requires that a packaging size be specified for the relevant items, setup of a new picking method, and possible adjustment of picking type at locations.
Pallet picking 1)
InStock can now be configured so that picking lists suggest picking entire pallets from the high buffer, while the remaining quantity is picked from the floor pick location. This assumes that the buffer locations contain one pallet with one item. The functionality is based on InStock first suggesting picking entire buffer locations, before suggesting picking from pick locations.
Requires setup of a new picking method and possible adjustment of picking type at locations.
More information per picking line in the portal
The line display for pick lists has been changed. The number of columns has been expanded, and the list can now show all lines, not just those that remain to be picked.
View inventory at location when picking
When registering a pick, a new menu option “Inventory location” has been introduced behind the three dots in the top right. In addition, the menu option “View inventory” has been changed to “Inventory item”. Corresponding options are also available by long-clicking on the fields for Item and Location respectively.
Best match on pick list 1)
Optimization for customers who pick multiple orders on the same pick list. The feature is advanced and connects other pick lists that have items in the same location, same zone and closest to already selected locations.
Orders on the picking list can be sorted by weight
On picking lists with multiple orders, the order letters A, B, C, etc. are normally sorted by ascending order number. It is now possible to sort by weight as well. See new field “Sorting multiple orders” on Warehouse and Category. This can be useful when using trolleys where you want the heaviest order at the bottom of the trolley.
Filtration in product replenishment
In the Replenishment section of the app, a filter has been introduced for the reason for the replenishment. The reason for the replenishment being suggested is either that there is too little inventory to pick all planned orders, or that the inventory is lower than the specified minimum inventory. This means that you can, for example, choose to prioritize replenishment due to planned orders, while replenishment due to minimum inventory can wait until you have a better time.
Location dimension
A new feature has been introduced in the portal for Location Dimensions. Here you can define width, depth, height and weight as well as the desired name for the dimension. Registered dimensions can be linked to location.
Currently, the location dimension is only used in the Empty locations screen. Here you can filter on the desired dimension and display locations with the correct dimension. This allows you to optimize so that, for example, pallets with high weight or height can be optimally placed.
Filter by user in Transactions
In the Transactions function in the portal, a filter by user has been introduced. This makes it easy to filter out transactions carried out by a specific warehouse worker or an integration (e.g. cash register solutions).
View product info in Item Movement 1)
In the Item Transfer function in the app, you can now display specific free information fields from the item card. You can choose which ones to display and in what order. Fields that are empty will not be displayed at all.
New shortcuts to Correction
New shortcuts have been introduced in the app to navigate faster to the Correction function. You can now tap the three dots in the top right corner in the Inventory, Item Movement and Pick Registration functions.
Linking a handheld terminal to a fixed warehouse location
A handheld terminal can be linked to a fixed warehouse. For users at different warehouses, this ensures that they will be notified if they log in with a user who does not belong to the warehouse the terminal is registered to. Important for customers who use the terminal infrequently, and then often for stock counting.
Send cost price to ERP when counting and correcting 2)
Support has been introduced for sending cost prices to ERP during counting and correction.
Footnotes:
1) Contact iSYS for configuration.
2) Not all integrations with all ERP solutions necessarily support this automatically. The functionality may require expansion and development of the integration with your ERP.
