Seeberg takes the step into modern warehouse management: adopts InStock WMS
Norwegian fishing equipment wholesaler Seeberg AS has taken a big step towards a more modern and flexible warehouse operation.
The company has implemented InStock WMS and the results are immediate: more efficient processes, smarter picking routes and seamless product flow.
From static frames to full flexibility
Previously, Seeberg used a solution that was tightly connected to the ERP system, but which had clear limitations.
The old platform functioned mostly as an extended part of ERP — with static rules for picking and product flow, and little opportunity to adapt to changing routines, seasonal peaks, or new product areas.
With InStock WMS, Seeberg has gained an independent, dynamic and flexible warehouse management system that allows them to shape their processes the way they actually work — not the way the system requires them to work. This gives them far better control over the entire value chain, from goods arrival to completed customer orders.
Measurable gains and efficiency in practice
Shortly after launch, Seeberg reports noticeable improvements:
More efficient picking routes: The system calculates optimal routes based on warehouse layout and order composition, which reduces turnaround time and increases productivity.
Smooth replenishment: InStock automatically notifies when inventory is approaching a critical level, facilitating continuous flow of goods without stops in the picking line.
Reduced margin of error: Automated handling and real-time inventory overview provide better data quality and fewer errors in deliveries.
Higher capacity: With better process flow, the same warehouse team can handle more orders per day – without increasing staffing.
InStock gives us a whole new level of flexibility. We are no longer bound by static rules or manual routines – the system adapts to our needs. It gives us a much more efficient and modern warehouse , says Kenneth Brandvold at Seeberg AS.
A modern boost for a traditional player
Seeberg AS was established in 1945 and has supplied fishing equipment to the Norwegian market for 80 years. Seeberg AS today has well over 200 years of experience in sport fishing in Norway and abroad, which is reflected in our range of our own developed brands such as Lawson, Prey, Søvik and Xstream.
The implementation of InStock WMS marks an important milestone for the company — a clear signal that Seeberg is committed to digitalization and efficiency for the future.
This is more than just a new system. It is a strategic move that gives us control, flexibility and a platform for further growth , concludes Kenneth Brandvold.
